WHAT UP?
Hi Everyone,
This is my first training blog entry… although I use the term “training” loosely since I haven’t even begun yet.
My current situation: I had surgery on July 25 to repair a torn meniscus in my right knee. I tore this same meniscus and had the same surgery back in January. My physical therapist, Jill, thinks I’m still 4-6 weeks away from running and jumping. But…
I have decided I want to compete in and complete a triathlon! I realized it really helps motivate me to exercise and work out if I have a goal. And right now, my goal is a triathlon!
Despite my wife’s misgivings, it’s on like Donkey Kong! If only my brother B (http://Manatarka.sweat365.com/files/2008/09/me-and-b.jpg) and my brother-from-another-mother Nelly (http://Manatarka.sweat365.com/files/2008/09/heidi_andrew.JPG) will do it with me, we’ll be good to go!
That’s all for now… time to do some rehab on the knee and get a wetsuit!

Welcome to Sweat365!
Good luck on your recovery from your injury and surgery… I’m sure if you work with your PT and follow the program they outline for you, you can reach your goal of completing a triathlon!
Let us know how we can help you getting started!

Good luck. I also had my right meniscus operated on in January, and I also think I have either torn it again or there is some scar tissue buildup. Good luck with your goal!
